Local Authority Services

Local authority services for Sealand are provided by Flintshire County Council and Sealand Community Council.

The services provided by the County Council include Education, Highways, Housing, Environmental Health, Social Services, Libraries, Recreation and Leisure etc.

Sealand Community Council employs a part time Clerk who is based at:

Although the Community Council has limited statutory functions at present it provides much appreciated services to Sealand including:

Council meetings are held on the third Monday of each month (except in August). The Annual Meeting is held in May. The Annual Finance Meeting is held in January. Members of the public are encouraged to attend meetings of Council.

The Council has 12 elected members representing 2 Wards. These wards Sealand West with 8 representatives and Sealand East with 4 representatives.

The Council is served by a Clerk and Financial Officer, Peter Richmond – who is employed for 10 hours a week
